I just figured it was a balance thing (Like Druids not getting effects from their items while Wild Shaped, besides the literal 2 items in the game that actually work) given that Open Hand Monks can already get the most OP weapons in the game due to all the available boosts to unarmed attacks that stacking on top of that more boosts from weapons being equipped might be too much (And render Four Elements and Shadow subclasses almost completely obsolete).
My personal qualm with Monk, is the way their Bonus Unarmed Attack works... From the constant spam from the condition being applied with every attack, to the fact that because the button only appears when that condition is active it's not possible to put it onto the Custom action bar thus it becomes tedious to use (Click to attack guy... Click on bonus unarmed attack... Click on guy again... Click to attack guy again... Click on bonus unarmed attack... Click on guy again...)
