Others have posted about this but I want to add to it.

After patch 4 broke the game for players on PS5, I hoped that it would be quickly fixed. It's been weeks now, though, and not only are the issues not fixed, there has been no statement from Larian about it. It's losing you a lot of good will and I think it's only a matter of time until it becomes a scandal like Cyberpunk 2077's broken release was.

Before patch 4 I would have agreed that BG3 deserves to be GOTY, despite some performance issues in Act 3. But now it's literally unplayable once you pass a certain point, a broken product. It's like a book with the last half of the pages burned.

I think people would be much less frustrated if there was some more communication from you about it. Yes, some people will get mad, especially if you tell us it's difficult or painful to fix, but the lack of communication is getting people mad now. And I know that myself, at least, would feel a lot better about it if we knew Larian considered it a priority.

But they will Not Say Anything like they never Did since they Broke the Game in 3.0
not even the Bug Reports they Respond Anymore..
they only respond when Already Droped a New Hotfix or Patch.. get it ?!
Thats How a Great company like Larian Do Things.. such a Joke. haha

the 4.0 state its just a Consequence of the Fact that they Broke the Game in 3.0 and Never bother to Fix just Brushed away to add more useless Stuff.

if they Had Did there Job Properly and Tried to Fix.. Things would not endup this Way..

i went from Loving the Game to Hate more at Evry Hotfix and Patch they Release since 3.0
(the Game start to Feel like Cyberpunk 2077 for me already.. a Non Stop Nightmare.)

I started my first playthrough after patch 3. There were some performance issues and bugs but none so major that they prevented me from playing or enjoying the game.

I don't want to say your experience is wrong, but my experience is that it is specifically patch 4 that actually broke the game. This also seems to be what most others are reporting. I would be happy to go back to patch 3.

Yu actually Got Lucky then.. to Never Run into Game Blocker using 3.0
the only Two Times i Play this Game Properly.. when evrything was Ok..
was in Lounch and 2.0
(only Two companions were cousing Problems.. if yu avoid then yu would Have a Normal Run.)

I Mean the Bug most of People Get in the End.. was becouse bring all companions..
if yu avoid some of then things would go Ok.
(the Karlach Burning away and eating all the other endings.)
she would Lock yu out of the Romance Scene with Shadowheart too..
was the another bug she was cousing..
(if yu especially Avoid Her the game would run Ok.)

in the Two runs i Made i did not Bring Her and Get Evrything Ok... no joke.
1 as Bad Gale and another as Tav..
when i start to Play as Durge things were bad already.
(was when 3.0 Drop out to Fix the Karlach Situation.. was when Evrything Bad in this Game started.)

The First Sine of Bug i Notice was when i Get to Underdark in the Iron Forge and Saw the Boat Cliped with another.. from ther my friend i only kept find More and More.
(i even Reported So Many Times that i Gave Up.. they Never Aswear anymore.. like i said they only say something now.. when the Hotfix or New Patch already Droped Out..)

and i can Gave yu a List of at Least 20 Bugs that came in to Play in the 3.0 and never had been fixed too this Day.. No Joke.

I just got to Act 3 myself, for the first time, and am experiencing these horrible bugs now. Been putting my game aside in Act 2 for almost a month since I knew there were major bugs, like Astarion's messed up romance final cutscene, but I really want to be able to talk to friends about the game without spoilers. But it's impossible to finish this now.

I have a cynical assumption that they're refusing to publicly address these major bugs because they're getting so much good publicity, and thus sales, from the awards, but not talking about it is just going to screw them over when all the new players buying GOTY reach what should be the climatic Act only to be hit with wall to wall bugs. The complaints are piling up. Larian is doing no damage control at all. I can't fathom why. I'm also surprised no gaming news outlets are picking this up at all.

I played into Act 3 pre-Patch 4 and it was beautiful (I wish had kept that save; I deleted it with the new updates because, supposedly, glitches were fixed and I tend to restart (probably habit from EA) my games to accomodante those fixes. It's only been this latest update that berked it up. Apparently Larian is watching the forums (I've been talking with one of the responders to bug reports) but they didn't have any real updates for me.

Game of the year does not need communication!
