Ambushing the party is certainly a good idea.

But if the fight has to remain in the grove, I think it would be great if there were at least two or three other shadow druids there as well. Maybe a tough ranger sworn to the shadow druid enclave, perhaps wearing a cloak that allows a single wildshape once per long rest. Or better yet, a gloomstalker ranger sworn to the shadow druids, and he's been hiding the entire time, only appearing during the combat.
And I keep coming back to this thought: Kagha treats Olodan as if Olodan is her better. "I can explain Mistress Olodan..." Which is odd to me because Kagha is clearly so much more powerful. I accept that social dynamics don't have to be dependent on level. I mean, a level 10 character can theoretically look up to a level 3 character in a social sense. High level characters are often servants to lower level lords, sure.
But in this case, it feels off. Or rather, it would feel much better if Olodan had a couple levels on Kagha, making her the clear senior druid.
