so i loaded up my game today, and the divinity universe was bathed in rainbows.... it was kinda pretty.
see the colors here
the rainbows suddenly disappeared when i clicked on a teleporter platform, but i had already teleported a few times. my psychedelic world is now plain again.... it was fun while it lasted, though!

this is a case for CSI. Colour Seems Irregular.

have you upgraded anything recently?
did you upgrade your directx recently?
did you update your graphics/motherboard driver recently?
did you install any graphic tweaking software or graphics manager?
any program running in the background?
did the game crash shortly after?
did windows crash after u finish the game & try to shutdown?
what graphic card are u using?

sorry but info is needed before info is dispensed. i wish to help but u have to help in providing more info.

Is this applicable?

From FIX for splotch problem/weird color areas/fog;

Quote
Dear everybody

If you have the Windows ME/Nvidia graphics card "splotch problem," which makes bizarre splotches of darkness and color appear indoors and at night, here's the best cure:

Turn on your PC and leave it on for 45 minutes.

That's it. Better even than putting "splotchproblem 1" in your config.lcl.

You can check your e-mail or whatever you want. Just make sure about 45 minutes goes by.

I read this suggestion on the previous forum and wanted to share it. It saved me a lot of headaches.

best wishes for gaming fun, y'all

well it seems relevant but i cannot fathom the 45-minute wait. sounds more like monitor problem to me if u need to let it warm up for so long. neve thought a graphic card needs warm up. maybe nvidia uses graphic diesel engine?

faile, have u uninstall any program or game or anything?
did u tweak your PC?
have u try firing up a 3D application or game & see if u have any irregularity with the graphics? u better try this out.

need to do some more tests before resigning to raze's last resort: clean install.

if it's really 45-minute-wait demon in your system, i'd rather do a 2 minute job inserting that splotchproblem 1 in config.lcl which will nullify the need for 45-munite wait.

i haven't turned off my pc in a while, a few weeks probably. maybe i should try that. i haven't uninstalled anything. i deleted a few old papers i had written....

i have a new computer, a dell 2350, i think. i use windows xp. i haven't twiddled or tweaked anything.

one other thing: one of my tele stones vanished, and the other doesn't work. i have been meaning to download new ones, but i haven't yet. could that be related?

it's been weeks since u last switched off your pc?
well that doesn't explain much ....

have u looked into the questions i posted earlier? & yes, try switching off your system & see if the rainbow comes back after a day or two .... .

some graphics card uses passive heatsink which means heatsink with no fan. some cards run hot after a few hours of usage. some don't. if it's still new, then try some other diagnosis like running other 3D games to find problems. if u do, then maybe & maybe that 3D card has prob & the newness of your pc allows u to claim warranty.

just do some more tests & then let us know of the result. maybe i'll go to dell's website 2 find out more on the specs & stuff.... .

Well it's not the monitor, becuase otherwise you wouldn't be able to screen capture it.

It looks like a bug with the lighting effect or an overlay problem. My instinct says it's a driver problem or an incompatability.
