Thank you for elaborating. Well, I honestly stopped to care about how other people interpret Astarion.
To me it's always been obvious, that he takes the time between the confession scene in act II and the graveyard scene in act III for himself, so to speak. There he explicitly says in a playful tone: 'If a night of passion is on offer, I could be persuaded' and later 'I love you. I love this. And I want it all.' However, for me it's crystal clear, that Astarion and the PC don't have sex between act II confession and act III graveyard. I do think, they have lots of intimacy off camera that doesn't lead to sex. Like kisses and hugs and holding hands and cuddling.
In act II the player character has the opportunity to force sex and Astarion will break up the next morning. Same if you try to force him to take the astral tadpole and fail. So I guess, it'd be safe to say, he establishes boundaries and would also break up with the PC later, if he felt like he's being forced to do something he doesn't want. I only saw that on youtube though because I'd never do that.
