I didn't want to do any multiclassing in my latest playthrough. My Durge was a Collage of Swords Bard with Astarion, (Tief Rouge), Karlach (Berserker Barbarian), and Lae'zel (Battlemaster). My only conscious choice was to pick up counterspell and banishing smite at level 10 for my bard. They were a surprisingly effective team throughout the entire game.
