I think people are thinking way too hard about how Durge relates to the opening cutscene. The reason it doesn't match is because it was made in 2019 (EA was released pre-pandemic so that lines up) and Durge as they exist now definitely was not in mind when they made it.
Which is actually something I wanna talk about now. I think Rotsen makes a very good point; Maybe Tav as a Bhaalspawn or something akin to it was the original plan, but there's really no reason to assume that the Durge we now have, who was one of the chosen and so deeply involved in the plot, was their intent.
