Hi,

I bought the game on release, and it crashed every time I got to the part where the githzerai jumps me. I'm talking about within the first couple of minutes of a game. I figured the game had bugs like that so I left it until now, and I find it still crashes that same way.

AMD 2700x
16 GB RAM
Radeon RX 7600 OC (23.11.1 latest drivers)

Does anybody have any advice for me? I really want to play the game. I loved the previous BG games and Original Sin 2 as well.

It's likely your RAM. For some reason if you have XMP enabled or have your RAM overclocked the game will crash around every 5 - 10 minutes. Disabling XMP stops the crashes. This game has had RAM issues since release so I've been using my RAM at a lower speed while waiting for a fix.

Thank you for your suggestion. I googled this and apparently XMP is Intel technology. It might not be a relevant issue for me with my AMD CPU, but I will see what I can find.

I have an AMD cpu. XMP is how you overclock your RAM in your bios. If you haven't done that then I have no idea what your issue could be sorry.
