I thought patch 5 was supposed to fix this, however, I am still getting this issue in many places. Just went through a doorway in the ruins, and suddenly my companions quick following me. I got to the bottom of the first set of stairs, and somehow ended up in combat, which lagged everything more, a companion ported to me, then slid back to the top of the stairs. I was frozen in place, and the combat screen hadn't come up, but I was getting attacked.
