I am having this same issue on PS5. Prior to this patch I was only seeing the lag issues in Act III. Which was annoying, but at least I could play. Now NONE of my saves will load and a reinstall will not fix it. Larian clearly doesn't care that they're essentially charging $70 for a brick.
Used to be developers had to have a finished, working product before bringing it to market. Now they feel they can just release any half baked turd and "fix" it down the line.
I would be demanding a refund if I thought I would actually get it.
