Since the latest patch the game is crashing on PS5 as soon as I walk down the steps to Cazador. I have found a few threads over on Reddit reporting the same problem since the patch yesterday,

Slow down is fixed but the game now hard crashes instead.

i thought i was the only one dealing with this. Have you found a way to stop it crashing?

So frustrating to be hard stopped with a crash just walking down the steps to Cazador. I actually changed the camera angle to watch my team walk down the steps to Cazador which does allow the dialogue to progress but as soon as the battle begins, it crashes anyway. Every. Time. I submitted a support ticket to Larian - they sent me recommendations to try around PC. This is a PS5 problem - just want to make sure that is clear. I do not know if this is happening on PC. I can try other content but to complete Astarion's story - it is game-breaking at that level.

Hello! The team is aware of this issue and currently looking into it.

Yep this is happening for me too. Tried it 4 times and no luck.
I had to stop playing for a couple weeks until the latest patch arrived in the hope that this would fix all the major issues - the game seems to be more stable in act 3 (although still pretty slow in combat) and now I can’t finish this questline! I’m sad, please fix this Larian

Lots more reports of this same issue from PS5 players in various places now. I'm glad to hear that they're looking into it.

I've been looking forward to finally finishing his quest since patch 4 came out, hopefully it canl be fixed ASAP because it means we PS5 players still can't complete our campaigns.

I also have this issue. Waited for what feels like forever to get patch 5 to fix the lag, now this. It's so sad how good the game used to play and yet now it keeps falling apart.

Today's hotfix should have resolved this issue!
