Just to mention, I'm not saying we need heavier moderation on the topic or anything.
Currently, I've started an Honour Mode playthrough. I'm not examining any of the bosses before the fights because I *want* to be surprised.
I'm hoping that we can all try to remember to stay spoiler free about a lot of the patch 5 changes, at least for a month or so. Spoiler tags, careful with titles, the usual drill.
Thank you to everyone who reads this post and gives the matter some consideration. Hope you're all enjoying Patch 5 as much as I am!

I was rather active here during my first runs of the game. I have maybe had one or two things spoiled. Just stay away from topics that deal with stuff that you haven't reached. Nowadays, though.. The internet is absolutely *filled* with BG3 content, with spoilers in titles. Then, you can assume that the users here are the players that played from Aug 3rd onwards... Surely, you know what's going on by now, no?
Anyway.
Larian themselves were *absolutely* stupid at spoiling Orin the week before launch. That was such a prick move. Orin isn't all that special, but the things that make her special are *way* more fun if you don't know what's coming. If I were to list reasons not to hand out community support awards, it would be this.

Surely, you know what's going on by now, no? Patch 5 honour mode just came out. There are changes in some of the combats. For instance, I didn't know what would be different about the owlbear fight until I was in the owlbear fight. People are spoiling things willy nilly in certain threads, including the patch release threads. Like the new epilogue stuff that I haven't gotten to yet because I started a fresh playthrough. I'm not asking the whole of the internet to use spoiler tags. Just the folks here on this forum.

It wasn't me.
But now you are doing it TO with the bear .
I actually don't want to look to deeply for this reason.
Anyway I am excited I already died twice. Finally I can play with friends because it's became to difficult for a dad (to solo it).

Heh. And I'm just about to honour-mode the Owlbear. Though, for RP purposes, my Tav will likely just leave it be.

Is it that the owlbear mate and another cub comes out now? I've never seen that before, and I'm playing on Custom with Balanced difficulty. I'm not sure that's supposed to happen in anything other than Honour mode. This was before the Hotfix, though, so hopefully that is now fixed. The Owlbear summons her mate, who's the same as the Owlbear. So you're basically fighting two owlbears and the cub. There's no second cub.
It definitely ups the difficulty of the fight. Normally I walk through that fight without a scratch. This time, both Andrick and Brynna died in the combat on my playthrough. I wasn't expecting a second owlbear at all. It was great.

I was saying that's what happens in Honour Mode. Are you saying that happened to you in Balanced Mode? I thought that was solely supposed to be Honour Mode, but maybe I'm wrong. I've only played Honour since patch 5 released.

Yes, that is what I am saying.  In the Custom mode you have dropdowns for difficulty, and this happened with Balanced chosen. And moderatiors, I'm sorry for derailing the thread. I don't know where to report this to Larian.
