In the following endgame scenario, my redeemed Durge romanced Wyll, but then went to Avernus with Karlach. Wyll didn't come with us, because he'd signed up to become a grand duke. My Durge had missed him very much and was really looking forward to seeing him again at the party. However, we got some buggy dialogue. On going to talk to Wyll, the game refers to my Durge being a projection, and we have a bunch of dialogue about githyanki stuff. I don't know if the game thinks I'm playing Lae'zel, or simply that I went with Lae'zel. Example pic spoiler-tagged below.

In the above epilogue scenario, it seems like the romance between Wyll and Durge isn't recognised. There's no romance dialogue with Wyll himself. When talking to other companions, it seems like my Durge's close friendship with Karlach is referred to in situations where she would've been able to refer to Wyll if she hadn't gone to Avernus without him. I don't know if this is due to the githyanki dialogue bug, or whether the game no longer considers them to be together, even though she accepted his proposal and they never broke up. (The version of the epilogue I played where my Durge stayed in Baldur's Gate with Wyll was really sweet, for what it's worth.)

I will just add that the reason I had Wyll become a duke in this playthrough was mainly to do with other buggy dialogue. After we saved Wyll's dad (which we did while still breaking the pact), Duke Ravengard mournfully said that Wyll had sacrificed his soul to save him, even though Wyll's soul was now quite safe. It seemed like a bug - like the game thought the pact was still active. When the question then arose about what Wyll would do next, I naturally left it up to him to choose - but his decision to be the "Blade of Avernus" rang alarm bells with me. Why would he call himself that, when he had broken free of Mizora? He wouldn't have hellish powers after defeating the brain - if anything, he'd be against Avernus, not of it. I assumed that this was another bug, like the Duke's dialogue, and that I was incorrectly seeing what Wyll would've chosen if he was still in the pact. I therefore reloaded and persuaded him to be a duke instead. (I did later go back to that choice and redo it, to explore how the game would end with him as the Blade instead, but that's a different endgame scenario.) Anyway, I think Larian is aware of Duke Ravengard's buggy dialogue, but perhaps not of the knock-on effects that may occur when people start seeing other dialogue as potentially buggy too...

Just encountered the same thing. On patch 7, Resist Durge romancing Astarion, Wyll's become the duke, he thinks I'm Lae'zel.
