What are your predictions? Who do you want to win GOTY?! ______________________
Considering we're on Larian's official forums, I personally would like the home team to take a full sweep. ALL THE WINS in ALL THEIR NOMINATIONS!! xD I know there have been issues and bugs, but they deserve this. I really want them to win, everything 8'D
Well now that the Game have closure for the two sides of the Tale.. I can say they deserve it. And be proud with the ludicrous amount of time i spend in this game so far. haha
(btw i normally dont like to praize and gave prizes to anyone.. but just this time i will give then a Brake. haha) So Nice One Larian.. 9/10 Fix the Rest and i can gave yu a 10/10
So I was on the fence about whether they deserved awards after Patch 4 (with its game-breaking bugs), but after Patch 5 and the addition of the epilogue, I think that they 100% deserve all the awards. I voted for them. I hope that theyre not done adding features to the game, though, because we could still use some at-will hugs, debugging Minthara, a few things like that.
Of the major releases this year I feel like the only worthy of consideration is BG3. I mean Starfield was a joke and still is, an open world that is EMPTY. Hogwarts was lackluster at best. Diablo was a mess that Blizzard just seemed to keep adding to. Redfall was, well just utter crap. Alan Wake was decent but did not gather the attention of BG3.
I voted for them for almost every category they were nominated for! There were a couple I thought games like Cyberpunk or Lies of P deserved more but, I absolutely voted for GOTY as well as Players' Voice.
Love you Larian! Love BG3! Once I experience the epilogues (I restarted entirely when they announced Patch 5), I'll know if it's my favorite game but it already won GOTY in my heart well before that.
I think BG3 has the award locked in. This forum tends to attract people with strong criticisms, justified or not, but if you take a cursory glance at most other forums, like the Starfield subreddit, you find near unanimous love for BG3 and players lamenting that their game wasnt more like this in some way or another.
Good for Larian. They put a lot of work and passion into this game, and they deserve recognition. Winning a GotY award in a year that saw so many major releases is doubly impressive.
