To be fair, not asking him to stop does not give him a carte blanche to kill you, so I don't think the game needs to distinguish between the two paths (though it'd be perfectly in character for him to cast the blame on you). He told you beforehand that it'd "only be a taste". The character was just stupid enough to trust the hungry vampire.
Never trust someone who is doing something they've never done before and tell you they've got this.
