So, firstly I would like to say well done for the GOTY award, very well deserved. Secondly, good job fixing the Act 3 problems so I could finally get my Platinum trophy on PS5.
Here is the issue. I have started an honour run and I'm in Act 1, not very far in, maybe about 8 hours or so. The problem started just after a recent hotfix and in spite of both of us updating our games to the most recent patch, when we tried to join each other, the player joining would be told that they had a game version that didn't match the other, so we waited for a new hotfix after that and finally we were beyond doubt that we both had the same patch. Sure enough, this time, the game started to load..... and then didn't..... The game gets to 81% and then back to 0% where it stays forever, not booting us or giving us an error message, just does nothing.
I get that the team has been hard at work with stuff and dropping the Xbox version etc..... but I've been able to play the game for a total of 2 days in the last 3 weeks and many others seem to be having issues as well. Does anyone have a fix for this?
Okay, to add a little more detail. When my invite is accepted, it says that they have joined the session, but on their end it will always load up to 81% and then back down to 0% where it stays forever. I have tried this with an invite from my end and with them joining with my session being open and neither works. The same issue happens when I try to join their game as well. I really don't know what the issue is here.
Edit: Just tried starting a new multiplayer and the same happens when trying to invite partner to the brand new session, sticks on 81% and then back down to 0% and does nothing.
