Obviously, spoilers ahead, but I know a lot of people try their best to get endings/cutscenes they want for their story, trying to make the best possible outcome for them, or something else specific. And in extreme cases, even 'save-scum' to try again, but honour mode can throw you some unexpected wrenches into those plans. So I'm curious, what thing have you caused due to dice rolls and the constant saving that have changed your game more than you intended?
Mine was for the Lae'zel Shadowheart fight at camp. I'm running a wizard (Necromancy) and have very little charisma, despite the small save needed, DC 10, to stop them from murdering one another.
I failed the roll, and side with Shadowheart so now Lae'zel is perma dead. No revive option and nothing from Withers, I would normally EASILY save-scum this. And I'm stuck here thinking 'Wait... that means I won't get her scenes in the creche, and can in character assume that this is just how the Githyanki are, since there's no betrayal from Vlaakith to Lae'zel'. And I'm also likely not gonna get to talk to Voss again since Lae'zel is dead. So without out of character knowledge, I have very little reason to free Orpheus. So I might be looking at the first time in a playthrough I've sided with the emperor, because I've always called them out on their bullshit and freed Orpheus.
All from one bad easy check, and me trying to play with IC knowledge.
So what's your story in honour mode that you would normally never accept or try to run with?
