With Honor Mode and Custom Mode released, I was hoping for a lot of flexibility with Custom Mode, seeing as there was only one "easy" mode, and two "hard" modes. But it seems like Custom Mode was just there to find the right balance between the three modes if one of the three modes didn't fit your interest.
1 - It lacks the option for double HP like explorer mode provides.
2 - The easiest configuration provided for settings is just explorer mode.
I think the only option this mode can provide that Explorer mode doesn't have is No Death Saving Modes.
At least for those looking to make settings more difficult than tactician, you can adjust it a little bit or just jump straight Honor Mode.
But for those wishing for an easier experience than explorer, custom mode is severely lacking in that department.
