Aye, I noticed this too.
I normally respec Gale to have Survival proficiency so I can bring him out to discover buried chests when my party fails their rolls. But now it's not an option.
You know that you can dig wthout the Dirt Mound being visible? Also - Summon Familiar Scratch?
