I think what you describe is the normal dialogue you get, when you recruit her first and the camp scene plays out with him coming to hunt her down.
Could be. In my first PT, I cut off her head and gave it to the Palladin.
My 2nd PT was a dark urge chartacter, and I got Karlagh into camp, but I didn't see that dialogue then.
