Hi,
Jumping is just crazy in this game. Why would we need fly when jump can do the same thing, if not better ?
I have changed jump radius to match PnP so low strength can jump about 3 meters and 16 strength can jump 5.2 meters. This is close to PnP.
Still, with Enhanced Leap and high strength, you can jump up to 16 meters.
These data are for long jump. High jump should be limited to 1.8m at 16 str and 0.6m at 8 str.
In BG3, there is no distinction between long or high jump. Jump is tied to 3 trajectories that cover long and high jump.
It seems rather difficult to create new trajectories that would work with 2 new jumps: long and high.
So I made 2 jumps: high and long.
High jump:
data "TargetRadius" "0"
data "MinJumpDistance" "0"
data "AddRangeFromAbility" "Strength,0.5"
data "Trajectories" "10e3e9e2-82b1-16be-80c3-bba883d01b48,e528a4bd-bc17-d0d1-188c-dbe1d4eda1f0"
With these settings, low strength won't be able to jump, even with Enhanced Leap.
Long jump:
data "TargetRadius" "2"
data "AddRangeFromAbility" "Strength,1"
data "Trajectories" "9d893642-654d-41a4-aaad-81f9dc588941"
With these settings, it roughly fits PnP. Except the trajectory that allows high jump as well, despite numbers:
<attribute id="HeightMin" type="float" value="-1"/>
<attribute id="HeightMax" type="float" value="1"/>
<attribute id="LengthMin" type="float" value="0"/>
<attribute id="LengthMax" type="float" value="999"/>
For example, it is possible to enter Emerald Grove with Enhanced Long Jump, but not Enhanced High Jump.
Does someone know how it works and how to fix it ?
