The gaming world has moved on from BG3 long ago. The most optimistic estimate I would make about that would be about 3 months or so after release, but really it happened before that point.

Even traffic here in this forum has mellowed down dramatically. Reporting about BG3 in all other areas has died down, too.

I expect a definite edition to happen and then Larian will move on. I dont know when this definite edition will be released though. But that will be the last bugfix they'll make before they focus on their new game. Thats what they did in the past and I wouldnt know why they would change this approach. I do think its a good approach though. Even if personally I would have prefered an expansion (or two or even three) and a second game (possibly a third as well). And gameplay up to level 30 - 40, too.

As far as I know, all we know about the new game is that its science fiction, and thats probably all we'll know for the next three years or some such.
