restarted this quest from every concievable point in teh quest, including restarting the game
... She's not worth it.
My first playthrough I talked and saved Mayrina.
After you kill Ethyl, make sure to loot her backroom for "Bitter Divorce." Then exit through the ring of mushrooms. I usually find Mayrina standing outside by the water, near Connor's coffin. You should have the option to give her the "Bitter Divorce" wand. See if that helps trigger a conversation.
If you can't speak to her, consider yourself lucky. She makes it all the way to Act 3 after I gave her the wand and then I had a quest with her called "Hag Survivors." You can still do this quest without her.
She mostly just complains and tells you to stop interfering. In all subsequent playthroughs, I just kill her after I kill Ethyl :p
I am going to try and say this in the nicesy way possible... not only is your advice profoundly useless, and contrary to how I want to play the game (and you know it is, you are smart enough to know I want to play as a good guy and rescue her)
But, you completely failed to read my post, and understand what the issues I am having with this quest are.
Your advice for how th handle mayrina, literally all involves Mayrina doing something, other than nothing, and not talking...
