Is there any information from Larian about the error 516 on PC (seems to exist on consoles too under different number) which denies you saving? You can read some speculations about it's causes and remedies on the Net, but nothing convincing.
In my game it's a relatively new "feature" (start of Act 3) and it is clearly related to dealing with vendors, something I could not believe when I first read it. I can reliably test and reciproke it. When I sell to or buy from vendors I cannot save any longer thereafter. Does not play a role wether I choose the trade or barter option, error 516 follows in any case. Trials to cure the problem by trading or bartering again with the vendor are always fruitless. When I reload the save from before the vendor, saving is possible without problems.
I didn't have the error in earlier acts. It's such a shame for a game like BG3 and it makes the game more or less unplayable in the long run.
