Jumping.
I guess if you're from a platform based gaming background it might be obvious, but it took me ages to realise that just because it said "you can't get there" it didn't actually mean it. If you can click on it as a location then Lazeal can probably jump to it. Everyone else will normally follow if they can. Any area on the map that's a lighter colour can be visited, and usually has some hidden gear in it. Jump Jum pJump.
