Good idea, we should do it!
Someone should organize a facebook group or something, this is getting ugly from Larian.

I’m glad the new hotfix is apparently working for some people, but what I feared is likely true. If you’re one of the affected who had what I assume is a corrupted save file (no character name, date far in the future, 1 million plus hours played), it’s still corrupted. I’m sadly in the boat of having an honour mode run that I spend an exorbitant amount of time getting through, and was about 10 hours from finishing that I’ll never get back. This sucks. Larian, if you read these forums, an apology to all the players who lost hundreds of hours would be a decent place to start. I understand if it can’t be fixed, but this was handled very poorly.

We can save again, but when we started our last game we started 3 days prior to the first time when we encountered the error. We lost a couple of days.

Luckily it saves now but I am sorry for all, who still can't load and save .

have you tried to enable Cross Saves in Options, Sync "good" Saves with Larian - it won't sync corrupted saves.
Force sync with PS Cloud - you might need to upload ALL saves, including corrupted - this should remove Auto Sync for the game, and allow to restore your "backup" - think you'll need to re enable Auto Sync for the game, once it works.

Go to storage on PS5, and after sync has completed - remove Baldusr Gate data
Resart console and start Baldurs Gate - it will be fresh start - accept EUAL, and so on, then go into Options and enable Cross Saves - give it some time to Download Good Saves from Larian.

I appreciate the response tanuki, unfortunately mine was an honour run, so my one save file was corrupted and there’s no good version remaining to sync and take this approach with. I understand I may have misread your recommendation, so I’m going to try anyway when I’m back from vacation in about a week. As an aside I love your username, it brings me back.

Hey all, sharing from Latest News:

The team discovered that the error preventing a small number of players from saving due to "space running out" was being caused by invisible save files that would generate when the previous error 544 appeared.

We have now pushed a small patch on PS5 that will make these saves visible, so that you can delete them and continue saving on your main file.

To do this, you'll want to first:

1. Update your game with the new patch
2. Navigate to 'Load Game' on the game menu
3. Review any old saves that may have previously been invisible
4. Delete these old saves, before launching on your main game save

If you were experiencing this error on PS5 and were unable to save after Hotfix 17, please make sure your game is fully updated and delete these empty saves. This should allow you to continue saving your game.

If you run into any further issues, please create a support ticket here: https://larian.com/support/baldur-s-gate-3

Does that mean that honour saves corrupted by this error are still going to be inaccessible? I appreciate you addressing the saving issue, but it feels very much like you’ve sidestepped the number of honour mode players who posted here because their saves were corrupted and they don’t have a good version to go back to.

Same here dont have a good version because the last save that was clean get also 544. Now i can collect again 400 hours items? Isnt it possible to rewrite a corrupt save to a good save? I mean there must be data inside i sit on 1,9 GB corrjrrupted saves.
In the end, I had to use my last running backup to save it because all other backups were already gone. Then the last backup also failed with a 544 error, so now I have to start over.

So i get an answer from support. They are working on a solution. So maybe your corrupt saves arent lost.
You should upload the corrupt ones on your cloud.

Thanks for keeping us informed Deadly. I shelved the game for now because I don’t have the time to spend to get back to where I was, but hope it’s true since it’s an enjoyable game and I would love to see how it ends. I feel like I read through an amazing book to find the store sold me a copy without the last chapter.

Should be this was the answer:

Hello,

Thank you for your report and sorry for the inconvenience.

The team is aware of this issue and is currently looking into it.

We hope to have a fix on the way to you soon. Thank you for your patience!

Regards,
Diego
