While this story is kinda finished, the whole setting would allow for countless more adventures. Ending up as a mindflayer or an evil god would kind of restrict further use our character, we could always start new campaigns. Personally i would love that and looking at the success this game has i would say larian would be stupid not to stick with it for a while, nobody knows what their intention is.
If larian does not go that way i would REALLY hope for them to create/release a campaign builder or similar that would make creating new campaigns, add classes, races, spells, items etc. easier. Especially if you mod in new classes and races it is certainly difficult to make them feel as integrated as the original ones. Especially the conversations would be a lot to add.
But i also think that the game has still issues left that should be adressed before thinking about adding even more to it. (I still hate the way only one character(not always of your choice) seems to be participating in conversations while the rest mostly goof off.) Or has that become better? haven't played in a while
