Unable to save game last night so I just left the PS5 on all night. Game crashed today and my one save is corrupt. Unbelievable. My wife literally cried.

Larian is getting sus about this, game breaking bug.
The lack of transparency and official statement, about a bug which will break your game is shameful.

I feel bad for you man, i only lost 40 hours but cant play since dec18th.

You're not alone man. I didn't lose mine, but literally can't play now. And looks like Larian is not really worried about it.

Here too over 400 hours I'm a platinum hunter I'm just missing a few quests to finish. I've tested almost every workaround on reddit. This takes a few saves and then the error occurs again. Now it's so bad that I only had one save, but the game says no more storage space so I was forced to overwrite the last save, that didn't work and now I have no save at all but 1.7 GB of hidden saves. Larain has already written cheekily that there is no official statement and I haven't even received an apology. If only I knew if my saves would ever work again. The bug has been around since last year and 2-3 patches have already been released without a fix or statement. I don't have time to wait 3-4 months for a fix. Why isn't there anything publicly said about this? Do you want to further annoy customers here?

and this is so fcked up, we have save data bug both on xbox and ps5 and larian acts like nothing happening

That's how I ended up with only one saved file too. I tried the troubleshooting to delete the campaign it creates after the bug started.

A few other bugs I noticed that started around the same time:

•Wyll has a dialogue exclamation that doesn't go away after speaking to him. Dismissing him doesn't work and neither does talking to anyone else.

•My wife and I play PS5 couch co-op. We've been having trouble with the camp chests where I, the second player, can't access my chest. If I disconnect then she can access all chests even using my toon.

•The game has been freezing and the screen will get stuck for 45~ seconds until the crash reporter comes up.

Have had this problem for a week now. 160hrs in, can no longer save due to the save error 544 bug. I managed to solve the storage bloating, but all I can do now is just. Sit, wait and hope for a fix. I've tried every workaround for the error code itself, but nada. Nothing works. Still can't save. I'm so sorry you've encountered it too, it's genuinely the worst bug I've faced in years, if not ever.

]I did find this tweet yesterday from a video game designer working at Larian... So I'm cautiously optimistic that a fix is on the way. But I know that some people have been experiencing this bug for months now, so cautious for sure.

It's so frustrating. And I can't believe it's been a problem for so long. I really hope this is serious and that an actual fix is on the way soon. I just want to finish the damn game.
