I’m glad the new hotfix is apparently working for some people, but what I feared is likely true. If you’re one of the affected who had what I assume is a corrupted save file (no character name, date far in the future, 1 million plus hours played), it’s still corrupted. I’m sadly in the boat of having an honour mode run that I spend an exorbitant amount of time getting through, and was about 10 hours from finishing that I’ll never get back. This sucks. Larian, if you read these forums, an apology to all the players who lost hundreds of hours would be a decent place to start. I understand if it can’t be fixed, but this was handled very poorly.
have you tried to enable Cross Saves in Options, Sync "good" Saves with Larian - it won't sync corrupted saves.
Force sync with PS Cloud - you might need to upload ALL saves, including corrupted - this should remove Auto Sync for the game, and allow to restore your "backup" - think you'll need to re enable Auto Sync for the game, once it works.
Go to storage on PS5, and after sync has completed - remove Baldusr Gate data
Resart console and start Baldurs Gate - it will be fresh start - accept EUAL, and so on, then go into Options and enable Cross Saves - give it some time to Download Good Saves from Larian.
