I started a new play-through last week, right around the time hotfix #16 was released. Has there been a change regarding additional traveler's chests? It used to be that any time the game crashed (unfortunately, more often than one would like) or any time you performed a file verification, upon reloading the game you would have an additional traveler's chest, up to a max of 4. However, despite very frequent crashes and two file verifications, I still have only one traveler's chest in my camp. The additional traveler's chests are extremely helpful with organizing your stuff. How do you get additional traveler's chests now? What's the trick?

I am pretty sure having multiple traveler's chests was a bug that got fixed. I encountered it as well and I am glad this got sorted. I agree that the inventory system could be better but there shouldn't be a need of having multiple chests to address that.

I have never had more than one chest. In what way is it useful to have more than one, given that you can use pouches and small chests to store related items and keep them in your traveller's chest? How do you keep multiple traveller's chests apart? And when you send stuff to camp, how do you control in which chest it winds up?

The multiple traveler chests was a bug due to the game's integrated multiplayer component, so any time the files in the ...AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\... folders got deleted either manually or via a game crash, the game would treat the character as a completely new one with a blank slate with all their world interactions purged.

Which is why the game would also give the character a new traveler chest and make it their primary. The old chest would still have all the items in it, but "Send To Camp" would no longer work for that one because the original character assigned to it is considered "non-existent" in that playthrough.

You can try simply deleting the folder location mentioned above, it may still work if you really want it... but I don't recommend doing it.

It would be much smarter to simply use the in-game containers by placing them inside of your traveler's chest to organize it;
