I figured out what was the problem. I noticed that now you can see all of your gold in the trade screen, even gold that in the chest in your camp. So I sent all of it to camp. Your reply was very helpful actually because I never seen this screens with transcribing. I always just chose scrolls and clicked Learn Spell in the menu. But now I found this amazing screen with multiple scrolls to scribe and there was a notice that I don't have enough gold. Naturally I didn't, all of my gold was in camp chest.
