An update for those that have the same problem: I had BG3 on my Steam account, so I enabled cross save, signed up for Geforce Now's free membership, loaded my last save on GeForce Now, unsheathed my weapon with the U key, went back to my PS5 game, loaded the synced save and now it's fixed!
