I have to admit, one of the most challenging battles for me was the final battle. I swear they threw in everything and the kitchen sink.
There were at least 5-6 mindflayers, 2 warlocks, Bhallists, Cambions, 2 ogres, a spectator, intellect devourers, and 6+ goblins. The mindflayers all using mind blast and stunning everything. Then they were using Dominate Mind, and OF COURSE, they control Aylin and she starts smiting Gale like it's Whack-a-Mole. *deep breath* THIS IS FINE. It took all my willpower, not whip out a rune powder bomb. I decided barrelmancy only to be used as a last resort.

I got to the brain stem, and I sat there thinking for awhile. I knew people were able to get the Honour Mode achievement if they had Gale use the netherese orb, but I told myself I came prepared. I brought 4 runepowder barrels/bombs, 7 scrolls of disintegrate, scrolls of chain lightning, 8 smokepowder arrows, scrolls of globe of invulnerability, arrows of transposition, 4-5 Potions of Angelic Slumber, and a life cleric with Divine Intervention... So I told myself, if I die this run, we'll all die together.

Luckily for me, I rolled a Natural 20 at the docks against the 99 difficulty dice roll against the Netherbrain. When I reached the final battle, it had the "Against All Odds," debuff. I used Mind Blast, Artistry of War, and Disintegrate the first round. The netherbrain has a legendary action which makes it immune to all damage used in the previous round, so the second round I used dethrone, chain lightning and dropped it down to 37HP. I had Astarion throw a fireball at it, which dropped it down to 7HP then I had Astarion Bite the netherbrain (ha!) 8'D

I finished honour mode and got the Foehammer achievement. Here is my shining golden dice:

Gods, that nebula boatride is pretty. A fitting end to this journey.
