Back to Gort. I can agree. While as I mentioned a romance is often desired, mainly what I want is more content evolving around him and specifically an ending where you can rule over fâerun together.

As I said, more content is always good and Gortash and Orin both fall a bit short in that regard. I called them the artificer and the murderhobo most of the time, because I couldn't even remember the names.after my first playthrough. There should be more info about the whole Absolute plan, the Crown of Karsus heist and yes, maybe a way to side with either Gortash or Orin in earnest for a "Rule in Terror together" ending. The evil path has too few rewards as it is. Maybe make Gortash and Orin optional act 3 companions, since you will miss out on a lot of companions already in an evil playthrough, like Wyll, Karlach, Jaheira and Minsc.
Make it, that if you side with Gortash, you won't be able to deal with Raphael for example ( I think, most people do the House of Hope heist anyway, because it is so good).
Both Gortash and Orin can do with a bit more background info. I mean BG 1 & 2 player already know a lot about Bhaal and Bhaalspawn, but Bane for example was a deity, I hadn't had much knowledge over - and I play DnD for more than 20 years now.
Both their background stories are easily missable, which is sad, since you really have to be totally ignorant to not get everything there is to know about Ketheric, the most explored of the three Chosen.
As it is, Raphael and Auntie Ethel are more interesting as villains, because they are more fleshed out.

I guess Gortash in particular suffered from the scratched upper city storyline - similar as Cazador.

So yeah, long rant short: more valuable content is great to explore the story more, but I don't personally count romance among that. And I'm glad, they left the Gortash/Durge story vague, so that you can decide, if theirs was just a very good working relationship,a friendship or a romantic relationship.
