At the end of fight with Thorm at moonrise tower rooftop when General Ketheric run away the party remain in combat with a Necromite dead but still in turn bar.
My main , Jaheira and shadowheart on fear for 1 turn and the combat still active , i terminated several turns but fear and combat never end.
THe Nectomite seems keep combat on and nothing seems to cancel this state.
I'm in Custom Mode so only 1 save and that happen when i moved near hole for descending to Mind Flyers Colony.
I cleaned fear with protection from good and evil but nothing change , flee from combat doesnt work , gone to tower with party, except Jaheira (i have not control on her), but every time i come back to roof combat return.
I'm stuck , i reported the bug but i was forced to play a new campain waiting for fix.
Sad

Sorry to hear that this happened to you. Don’t know if it’ll help, but it’s “dispel evil and good” that gets rid of the frightened status, not “protection from evil and good.” I actually had something similar happen to me on balanced mode. Lae’zel got hit with fear in that same battle. The battle did end, but Lae’zel was perpetually stuck in fear, and it didn’t run out like it normally does. So I did have to use “dispel evil and good” on her. I’ve had multiple issues with fear being cast on my party. Also had it exploring the Shadow Cursed lands where Astarion got hit with it, and then I could no longer control him. The battle did end in that case as well. But I had to hit him with thunderwave and resurrect him to be able to control him again. Sounds like there’s an issue with the fear spell.

I have not run into this issue, so the best we can do at the forums is try and offer you suggestions or workarounds.

  • Try and move or throw the Necromite far away from the Entrance of the Mind Flayer colony. The logic behind this is, three members of your party cannot move because they're Frightened and the condition won't end after a turn. If you can move or throw the necromite using a party member you can control, you're essentially "fleeing" by forcing the enemy to move away from you, rather than you moving away from the enemy. The other reason why I suggested moving the necromite far away from the entrance of the mindflayer colony, is because when you return back to the roof, hopefully it will not pull you back into battle immediately.

The main issue I foresee, is that even if you move the enemy away, you still will not have control over the three frightened characters, as they are stuck in the battle as long as they cannot flee on their turn... So you may have to kill them dead-dead :x (check and make sure their portrait no longer appears in the turn bar). If only the necromite and the characters you can control remain, try fleeing. If you still can't flee, disengage, then have your characters dash to the first floor, then outside of Moonrise Towers. If you can walk all the way to the Moonrise Towers Waypoint, check and see if you are out of battle and if you can Long Rest. If you can, resurrect your companions at Withers.

If your controllable characters lack the strength to throw the Necromite, check and see if you have an Elixir of Hill Giant Strength or Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength. This will set your strength to 21 and 27, respectively, until long rest. Telekenesis could also work.
  • If you have the ability "Calm Emotions," try casting that on your frightened characters and see if it will work. Per BG3 Wikia
    Quote
Calm Emotions is a level 2 enchantment spell. This spell allows spellcasters to magically subdue intense emotions in targeted creatures. The affected target becomes neutral to the creatures it is hostile toward. It also cannot be Charmed or Frightened during the duration of the spell.

    Notes
When used on targets who are already Charmed, Frightened, or Enraged, this spell will end those mind-affecting conditions immediately.
