I love Jaheira (am an old BG1 & 2 player) and she's so well realized. It's been a few years now since I played either, but it's one of a few examples I can think of in modern games where seeing an old character again is like seeing an old friend, even though back then she was just some voice lines, text, a sprite and a 110x170 portrait. I love her sense of humour as well, and one of the most touching moments in the game for me was when she talked about Khalid, real misty-eyed moment and I don't get those often.
Seriously wouldn't mind a hug option for her sometimes.
Seeing Minsc and Boo was lovely as well, I wish they were in more of the game.
(if only Viconia got the same treatment)
I'm a serial Shadowheart romancer and can only echo what you've put here, very likely one of the better rpg romance arcs I can think of and the selunite/parents alive epilogue was so wholesome I didn't know I needed it until it happened.
