Still, it’s a shame that after literally thousands of fixes brought on by 6 patches and 20 hotfixes, the game is still this buggy.
Just goes to show what a complex game BG3 really is!
Or how poorly made.
Bit of a pessimistic view, this game is very complex, each time they update the game to make fixes there are unforseen circumstances which generate more fixes required.
Larian are proven to eventually get on top of all problems, if you review their past performance on The Witcher series and DOS, so personally I would say the outlook is positive for BG3.
We are on our way to seven months after launch and according to Larian the next big patch is 'several months away'. I'm guessing that this next big patch will be the last apart from perhaps a couple of hotfixes to fix things the patch breaks.
Doubt if it will be the last, thats probably optimistic on Larians view, and they wont leave it in a poor state because they are very responsible Devs historically.
We have 6 major patches so far, and 19 hotfixes inbetween those major patches .. But thats only since the game went public out of Early Access. During Early Access there were just as many major patches and hotfix releases before it went public.
I cant see Larian putting it to bed leaving a lot of bugs, no matter how pessimistic a view anyone has, its just against their past record of pushing out quality products.
There has been a lot of public outcry recently due to the modding community being a bit entitled.
And a lot of people moaning because their personal most notable issues have not been fixed yet.
But if the general public understood more of the amount of effort going into the long term plan of fixes there would be far less concern.
If you believe something is not being addressed, give a detailled report to the official bug reporting site

Edit : PS, I get it, everyone wants this game to be the best it can be and hope that Larian do come through with the most perfect D&D 5e experience we could possibly have out of this game. And maybe even more if there will ever be a DLC to expand it further (Personally I have my fingers crossed for just that happening). So dont get me down as just a mindless fanboy defending the company producing it, I also want more more more polish/expansion to the best game ever. I just think Larian have already proven in the long run they are up to the challenge.
