Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems The dreaded Enemy of Justice bug.

So I had to abandon the last two playthroughs after the goblin camp because I got the dreaded Enemy of Justice bug. I killed Priestess Gut in her chamber, no tiefling witnessed me commit a crime, but I did knock out Minthara instead of killing her. Now when I go to the mountain pass Esther and the githyanki attack me on sight. I’ve tried killing my main character several times to get rid of the condition and it has cleared it, but I’m still triggering the, “The guards remember when you kill one of their own.” dialogue and get attacked by all guards regardless of faction. This bug is literally breaking my games. This happened on two separate playthroughs. I reported the bug to Larian and got the usual, “We are aware of the bug and are working on it.” But it’s been weeks and multiple hotfixes and I am still having the issue. Since Larian won’t fix it, does anyone know of a work around? Preferably where if I have to install a mod it doesn’t require the script extender? Or ideally no mods at all.

I got it in Act 2, randomly, and the only thing that permanently cleared it was moving on to Act 3. My strategy for dealing with it was to systematically kill everyone at Moonrise. Luckily it didn’t affect the folks who I WANTED to be allied with. Do the tieflings and druids turn hostile, too?

It doesn't appear to. I already killed the three leaders and had the party in my camp with the tieflings so they're gone. I went back to the druid's grove with no problem but as soon as I got back to the mountain pass Enemy of Justice came back. Not sure if it's an issue with just that region or what but I wish they'd hurry up and fix it. I was enjoying the game up to that point.
