I think it's a different writer or perhaps someone at Larian got upset (jealous) of all the attention Neil got for the character and the award he won.
Again, let's not make personal attacks on writers like this, and keep things calm and respectful.
I'm feeling I'm having to intervene too much in ascended Astarion threads lately. I also said above that I would revisit the decision to leave this thread open, despite the fact it threatened to duplicate discussion elsewhere, if it descended into attacking Larian writers.
So, sorry folks, but I am therefore going to lock this thread. There are still a number of other threads also discussing ascended Astarion where people are welcome to take ongoing discussion as long as it's kept respectful, constructive and friendly, and I wouldn't have locked this thread had that not been the case. I know that it's not fair to everyone trying to have open and positive discussion if someone failing to notice or heed repeated warnings spoils it for everyone else.
And I know it might seem harsh, but hopefully the fate of this thread will mean that people are more careful elsewhere and so avoid the same thing happening to other discussions.
