Gale has a cantrip called Bone Chill. I had Gale cast Bone Chill on the Elemental every round. At the same time I had my multi classed Cleric/Monk/Rogue use her Bow of the Banshee. Gale spammed Bone Chill every round and my Cleric/Monk/Rogue frightened the Elemental. I just used missile weapons to whittle the Elemental down and then polished it off with Gale's magic missile spell. Bone Chill is a necromantic cantrip that stops healing.
