Has this been mentioned before or not enough?

Anyway, like the title suggests, please add these to the game. Either you add them officially with a patch or through mods. You were willing to add specific animations for kissing for every companion but maybe you should give the option to give them headpats with their reactions to it. No need for voicelines, but you could add them if you wished.

Not only headpats for your romanced companions but also to Scratch as well (I only realized now that the Headpat does happen to the Owlbear Cub.. and that's it I know) ^^

I think this is a cultural issue. In the US, patting someone's head is seen as condescending and patronizing. I'm aware that it means other things in other cultures.

I would love to be able to hug a romanced Companion. Especially Astarion and Karlach. Their hugs are very potent and I think it would be wonderful to do that whenever you like, like the kissing.

I agree with Liarie that maybe something is being lost in translation here, but I'm an American and also think that patting a person head is odd at best. As for Scratch and head pats, I actually thought it was cool that the folks who designed the pet interactions seem to be aware that most dogs really don't like being patted on top of the head.

In general, it would be nice if there were more choices for interactions, including physical ones, with your party members, though. And it would also be cool if different party members responded differently to those interactions. Not everyone likes being hugged, for instance, and some people like affectionate physical teasing/horseplay of various kinds, and some don't. I suppose we'd still be waiting for the game to be released, plus it would take up even more space on our hard drives if they went wild with stuff like this, though
