They have I think, or at least they had a plan to do so to get Drow warriers for the Absolute. Theres some written stuff (think its a letter) to one of the Absolute leaders giving the outline of a plot and implying half of it has been done successfully. I read it in Moonrise which makes me think it was in Ketherics room somewhere.
The plan was to send an Absolute missionary to the drow to get them to send a hunting party in return. The missionary was, of course, killed, and Minthara headed up the party that went to take care of the Absolutists. They were subsequently ambushed and tadpoled.
