@Egin - i am not sad (i am the red head) just tired...spent almost 5 hours on the highway waiting for it to re-open, in 32 degree (celcius) heat. It was hot. Thank god i had my book, discman, and of course some wine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
@Jolie...i will try to fix the links...it was a very lonmg weekend, and it was 1:30 when i uploaded all these. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> And, no the highway isen't that busy, it was just becasue the highway was closed. Our highways (as my cousins from England told me) are much better than Europes. There is at least a two lane highway all the way to Jasper. It is 500 km from where i live, and i can get there in about 4-5 hours.

I will upload some more...i was just really tired.

the forest fire pictures are sad, but we all must remember that fire is the way the forest renews itself. i'm sure many of the animals were long gone before the fire reached them, they're smart like that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Ya, as i said...it started as a controlled burn, but it got away from them.
I don't understand when they will learn not to screw with mother nature...

how many times have we seen uncontrollable controlled burns on the news....
isn't controlled burn kind of an oxymoron?

I dunno about the fires in Canada. But goverments and a lot of ppl believe a lot of the fires in Europe are started by man. On purpose!
In France they arested a lunatic who started fires becouse he didn't made it as a firefighter.
Most of the fires are started by ppl who want to get their hands on the land. Ot to cover up illegal woodcutting.
