So this game is massive. Its big. Lot of us have multiple saves going on at the same time. Its really, really hard to remember everything, especially if you take a break from the game. I have problem with many games where i don't remember what kind of character i was playing, especially if i have many saves at the same time. Are they good guy? Bad guy? Something much more complex? What about many other choices and things to remember that can't be automatically displayed by the game? What kind of build was i planning to do for me or my companions? Some builds early on might not seem to make much sense if i don't remember what i was planning to do and how i was planning to play them.

I might not even remember certain gameplay mechanics, like how only even numbers matter for stats and they are rounded down (not fan of this btw).

Would be great if game would have notepad so for each save we could write what ever notes we want to. Even things like what we were told would sometimes be convenient to write down, even some stuff what some characters have told us.

Sure, i could use out of game notepad, but its not as convenient and i might not even remember it's existance after a long break. But if notepad is in-game, separate for each save, its way, way easier and just more convenient, especially for those of us who have to play game fullscreen with only 1 monitor on weaker computer, sometimes tabbing out/back in the games just takes a while, its not something you want to do on older laptop.

And notepad should be really, really easy to implement feature i think, so its not like i am asking for much, but it would greatly help me.

I've felt the need for a list of names- Between quests, dialogue, books, notes, letters- I get a little lost.~

You mentioned using an out-of-game notepad- On the offchance that you're talking about something OS based, I figured it worth mentioning that the Steam Overlay now has a build in notepad function, and I believe it's even cloud-saved for future access. It's pretty robust, with as many tabs as you'd like, full markdown formatting, and you can even pin it to your game window so you can see it without having to Shift+Tab (You can set the opacity for this too).

It's super easy to lose track of your character details and plans, especially in big games with multiple saves.

I remember a Skyrim mod that added a notepad, so I've seen the idea before. Although I worry that most players wouldn't actually fill it in. Perhaps a better solution would be to program in the key notes: a bit like The Witcher does as you go through the story, and it adds to the notes for each character.

I also wish that BG3 had some lore explanations for things your character should already know as a person who lives in the Forgotten Realms, for players who aren't familiar with it
