I'm not sure what Minthara wants (?). Not a Minthara player. I figured it's control, the more of it the better, which she can't really get reliably in the backstabbing, Lolth worshipping world of drow society. She's very openly anti-Lolth, she wouldn't live long there.
Ascended Astarion and her seem the most likely candidates to attempt world domination through elder brain. I can't personally imagine the subjugation of the elder brain will last, it's a very foolish thing to try, but they're both candidates that would try.
