I have a question, if I set the custom difficulty with everything on Strategist but changing other different settings, will I get the achievement for having completed said difficulty?
Or do I have to put Strategist directly without customizing or anything?

One difficulty without changing anything. Custom is custom and doesn't really count. Other strategies may occasionally be invalidated if your game crashes
