Twice already I've had the situation where after killing Momma Bear and Papa Bear I did not get the cutscene with the "spare or kill" choice. Instead the frenzied beast kept on attacking me.
My son (co-op partner) theorises that killing Momma before Papa might be the cause of no shift to cutscene. The first time around I do not remember which of the adults I killed first, the 2nd time - Momma.
The first time this happened I did the "ran away! run away!" like the Knights of the Round Table and the Slavering Beast showed up at camp (I do not remember how many Long Rests, but not many), hungry and with a bloody paw. This was after killing everybody at the Goblin Camp.
The 2nd time was a moment ago today, and here we have not massacred Goblin Camp yet. So we have to wait and see what happens - will the cutie show up or not.
