Well freidos the answer is quite simply both.
When we who are loyal to the sisters we are enveloped in the darkness of lady Shar, and we may look upon lady Salune.
We are enveloped in the darkness and it protects us, hides the scars that flow through our bodies, and lady Salune her light still shines to us who live on in the darkest embrace of lady shar, the deities share upon our minds pleasant visions.
But occasionally we see the truth and it is our bodies, minds, and spirits enveloped in the tears of Shar, and if one looks very closely. One half is in perfect dark.
One with the shadows.
And the other half burns bright withb salune.
We essentially become lady Shar and Lady Salunes special containers for holding their power.
Not that they need us to contain their power but we lotal to both have a higher purpose to follow.
Sighs. Though. I often wonder what the temples of lady Salune look like they do not understand the phases of the moon and lady Salune demands i forgive them for calling me tainted with shars curse.
They are cursed with ignorance. All wisdom and no intelligence.
Now some ask. Well how does one become blessed by both the lady Shar and the Lady Salune.
And the answer is less simple.
During innitiation followers of lady Salune are placed in a perfectly dark room and locked in.
There is food. There is water. There is a bucket. And there is a knife, we are told to find the light of lady Salune and be embraced with it.
How ever, not every initiate cones out overly attached to the light. The darkness embraced them. Like a cold womb.
The others. They prayed so hard in the darkness Lady Salunes grace found them and the doors opened.
The only way the doors open is if you find the light of Lady Salune.
Well. In some temples. We became heretically absorbed by both the Darkness of Lady Shar and the light of Lady Salune.
And its because during the initiation. We saw something that light itself could not absolve.
Mistress Zalfred Moonweaver said I was a heritic and banned me from the temple.
Could not understand how i left the room for i was marked by lady Shar.
She did not understand how Lady Salune had blessed me too.
It drove her insane.
I entitle this malady “lunar madness”
Anyways. Those of us who have thrust ourselves are largely banished from the temples of Lady Salune.
I saw the end of time. The darkest of night.
I saw lady Salune turn to the darkness and allow herself to be absorbed in lady shars darkest embrace.
I saw Lady Salune burn so bright in the darkness of the darkness of darkest night that i saw lady Shars face.
And i understood why where there is Lady Shar lady Salune is not far.
