My first character romanced Wyll and I remember being disappointed at the lack of recognition of the romance during Wyll’s personal quests. Though this was a year ago so my memory might be faulty and also things may have changed. The only things I can recall specifically are the dryad at the circus and the specific Wyll act 3 romance scene (my character then became an illithid so I’m not sure how other elements of the finale or epilogue would have played out).
But I think some changes to Wyll are expected for patch 7 so you may also want to hold off for that if you’re not in the closed beta.

When I was trying to get them dating in act 3 I took him to the Dryad and convinced him we were soulmates, but he still wandered off. That would have been a perfect place to add a "Wait, does this mean you like me?" option to anyone who'd turned down the companions in the past
