One of the things I feel is missing in the game is the possibility for Tav and their partners who are open to sharing intimacy with others to do so in a different enviroment and context than indulging in sex-commerce.


Before anyone jumps on me that I want to remove or limit any form of content. I don't, I am fine with it being in the game and I have no problem that this is something other players want to experience and enjoy, they are entitled to their own interpretation and enjoyment. I can just skip it, it doesn't take much skill to press the right button to politely decline.

But for me, I would have liked if there was a possibility for Tav and their partner(s) to find some person or a cute swinger couple at one of the many taverns or other locations in Baldur's Gate, that would be open to being invited into their bed. Something which can portray sex-positive and intimacy in non-monogamous relationships in a different context than sex-commerce. I think the portrayal of polyamorous and non-mongamous intimacy also deserves to be associate with a positive and fully consensual context.

Please don't derail the topic with discussions about characters or their writing, it is not relevant to the discussion. The suggestion is only about giving players who want to share intimacy with their romantic partners with others, some other venue and persons than a brothel and sex-workers to do so.

If you talk to the drow twins, they will say, that they are not unhappy, since the working conditions are great, but that they dream of leaving the city and settle down on a farm or so.

They are actually quite nice to talk to.
I never did the orgy scene with them, but I would feel awkward for it.

There are a lot of couples we met along the road, that we are already friends with, so I guess, that would feel more fitting for a poly relationship, if one want to play that.

But it's not really about whether they are happy or not with the arrangement, it is simply that it is not the same as enthusiastic consent. For the sake of representation of polyamory, I would prefer to have an option to have a shared intimate experience between Tav, their partner(s) and others that takes place in a different context as well.


I can already hear the enthusiastic shouts for Alfira and Lakrissa, but imo they wouldn't really fit and it would just feel like fan service and pandering to the straight male gaze.

Abdirak though, would be an awesome partner to enthusiastically join Tav and their partner(s), with a little blessing as an added bonus

Agree. Promoting that the dynamic was in the game only to have us find out we got less than a handful of let's say unfortunate stereotypes is not great. It would be great if they built on what is otherwise a good idea with better representation.
